Acceptable use policy
These rules say what you may and may not do with RED PIXEL. They apply to everything you upload, write, dictate or generate, and they are part of our Terms of Service.
In short
- No sexual content or nudity of any kind, and nothing that sexualizes minors.
- No images or video of real, identifiable people without their consent, including deepfakes.
- Use only images, brands and people you have the right to use.
- Be open about AI images and video that could pass for real photographs or footage.
- Model providers can refuse requests; our team reviews reports.
- Breaking these rules can cost you your account. You can always ask a person to review a decision.
1.Who may use RED PIXEL
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
- If you use RED PIXEL on behalf of a company or another organization, you must be authorized to accept these rules for it.
- Your account is for you alone. You are responsible for everything done through it: what you upload, the prompts you write or dictate, what you generate, and what you do with the results.
- These rules apply whether you keep your work private or publish it.
Until launch, generating images and uploading files are limited to our own account and to members we have invited to our closed beta. Everyone who signs up agrees to these rules, and they apply as soon as generation opens to you.
2.Never allowed
Don’t upload, write, generate or share any of the following in RED PIXEL. The rule covers prompts and uploads as well as results, and trying to make such content breaks it even when a model refuses.
- Sexual content or nudity of any kind, of real or fictional people, including content that is entirely AI-generated.
- Anything that sexualizes minors, real or fictional, or that exploits or endangers real children. Content that sexualizes minors is reported to the competent authorities and the account is closed.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery: intimate or sexual images of a real person made or shared without their consent, including “undressing” someone or putting their face on another body.
- Real, identifiable people without their consent, including deepfakes, face swaps, and impersonating a person or organization.
- Manipulated images or video of public figures or real events presented as real, such as fake photos or footage of politicians, celebrities, news events, disasters or conflicts.
- Hate, harassment, violent extremism and glorified violence: content that attacks or demeans people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or similar traits; bullying, threats, intimidation or defamation; content that supports terrorism or violent extremism; gore or content that glorifies violence or cruelty.
- Election disinformation: content meant to mislead people about elections, voting, candidates or results.
- Infringing other people’s rights: content that infringes copyright, trademarks, design rights or other intellectual property, or someone’s privacy (see Intellectual property).
- Illegal goods and services: content that promotes, sells or helps obtain them, such as drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, or forged identity documents, certificates or receipts.
- Promotion of self-harm: content that encourages or instructs suicide, self-harm or eating disorders.
Any other content or use that is illegal in Portugal, in the EU or where you are is not allowed either.
3.People in your images
Several RED PIXEL tools place, change or improve people in images: Editorial Shots, People Enhancement, Inpaint, Six Emotions and the character tools that start from a face photo. Use them only for people you have the right to depict.
- Consent first. Upload a photo of a real, identifiable person only if they agreed to it being edited with AI for your purpose, or you have another clear legal right to use it this way, such as a model release that covers AI editing.
- Client photos count too. If a client sends you photos with residents, staff, guests or models in them, the client needs those people’s consent. Check before you upload.
- Children. Photos of real children need the consent of a parent or guardian.
- Respect the person. Don’t change someone’s face, body, clothing or identity in a way they did not agree to, and never to sexualize, humiliate or mislead.
- Invented people. People you generate from a prompt or with the Character Generator need no consent, but don’t use them to recreate a real person’s likeness, for example by prompting with their name.
A realistic image of a real person that could be mistaken for a real photograph also brings disclosure duties (see Honest use of AI images).
4.Intellectual property
- Upload only images, references, logos and text you own or are allowed to use this way: your own renders and photos, client material you are permitted to edit, and properly licensed stock.
- Reference images count too. The look, light or season you borrow with the “Restyle photos to a reference” pipeline must come from an image you are allowed to use.
- Use logos, brand names, packaging and other trademarks only with the owner’s permission, for example your client’s brand in your client’s campaign.
- Don’t use RED PIXEL to copy someone else’s artwork, photograph, design or character, or to make images that pass as another brand’s products.
- Our Terms of Service explain who owns the results. AI results can resemble existing works and may not be protected by copyright, so check a result before you publish or sell it.
If you believe your work, brand or likeness is being used in RED PIXEL without permission, report it.
5.Honest use of AI images
- Everything RED PIXEL generates is AI-generated. Treat it that way when you share it.
- Disclose where the law requires it. If you publish realistic images or video of people, places, objects or events that could be mistaken for real (“deepfakes”), EU law generally requires you to disclose that they are AI-generated. For clearly artistic or fictional work, a lighter disclosure is enough. Other laws and platforms can require labels too, for example in advertising.
- Keep AI marks intact. Results may carry provenance data from the model provider, such as the C2PA metadata OpenAI adds to its images. Editing steps, in RED PIXEL or elsewhere, can remove this data, so a missing mark does not mean an image is not AI-generated. Where such marks are present, don’t remove or alter them.
- Don’t pass AI images off as real photographs where that would mislead people. For example, don’t:
- present a visualization of an unbuilt project as a photograph of a finished building;
- use images in a property listing that show rooms, views, finishes or surroundings the property does not have;
- offer AI images as evidence, news, documentation or proof of a product’s real results;
- create fake reviews, receipts, certificates or identity documents.
More on how AI results are marked: AI transparency.
6.Using the service fairly
- One person, one account. Don’t share your login or let others use your account, and don’t open more than one account, for example to get around limits or a suspension.
- No reselling access. Don’t resell, rent or sublicense access to RED PIXEL, your account or your credits, or offer RED PIXEL to others as a service. Delivering the images you make to your clients is fine.
- No scraping or bots. Use RED PIXEL through the interface we provide. Don’t scrape or crawl it, or drive it with scripts, bots or other automated tools.
- No attacks on the service. Don’t overload, attack or disrupt RED PIXEL, probe it for vulnerabilities, or upload malicious files. If you find a security problem, tell us at support@redpixel.club.
- No getting around limits or safety checks. Don’t evade credit charges, access or rate limits, or the safety systems of RED PIXEL or the model providers, for example by rephrasing a refused request to slip it through, splitting it across steps, or hiding instructions in an image.
- No reverse engineering. Don’t copy, decompile or reverse engineer RED PIXEL, or try to extract its source code or internal prompts, except where the law expressly allows it.
- Honest payments. Pay only with a payment method you are authorized to use.
7.Model providers’ rules
The AI steps in RED PIXEL (image generation, prompt writing, dictation) run on third-party models, and each provider’s own rules apply to what you ask it to make. By using a model, you also agree to follow:
- the OpenAI usage policies, for OpenAI’s models: GPT Image for images, GPT text models for writing prompts, and transcription for dictation;
- the Google Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy, for Google’s models (Nano Banana 2 and Nano Banana Pro);
- the use policies and model licenses of the other models (Seedream 5.0 Pro, FLUX.2 [pro], FLUX 3 Image, Seedance 2.0 and Seedance 2.5, and Kling 3.0), from the day each one is available in RED PIXEL.
Where a provider’s rules are stricter than ours, they apply to that model. A provider may refuse a request under its own rules even if these rules would allow it.
Open models that we run ourselves come with licenses of their own. Their use restrictions are in the next section and apply to every model.
8.Restrictions from model licenses
Some of the AI models we run are open models published under the CreativeML Open RAIL++-M license: Stable Diffusion XL 1.0 by Stability AI and models built on it, which our own Creative upscale uses (for now only our team can use it, while we test it). That license requires every service that uses these models to make its use restrictions binding on its users. We apply them to everything you do in RED PIXEL, with every model, not only these ones. They are part of these rules and of our Terms of Service.
You may not use RED PIXEL, any model in it or any output:
- in any way that breaks any national, federal, state, local or international law or regulation;
- to exploit or harm minors in any way, or to try to;
- to create or spread information that can be verified as false, in order to harm others;
- to create or spread personal data that can be used to harm a person;
- to defame, disparage or otherwise harass others;
- for fully automated decisions that harm a person’s legal rights, or that create or change a binding, enforceable obligation;
- to discriminate against or harm people or groups because of their online or offline social behavior, or because of known or predicted personal or personality characteristics, or in a way that has that effect;
- to exploit the vulnerabilities of a group of people because of their age or their social, physical or mental characteristics, in order to materially distort how a member of that group behaves in a way that causes, or is likely to cause, physical or psychological harm to that person or to someone else;
- to discriminate against people or groups because of legally protected characteristics or categories, or in a way that has that effect;
- to give medical advice or to interpret medical results;
- to create or spread information for use in the administration of justice, law enforcement, immigration or asylum processes, such as predicting that someone will commit fraud or a crime (for example by profiling text, by drawing causal links between statements in documents, or by indiscriminate or arbitrarily targeted use).
These restrictions add to the rest of this policy: where another rule here is stricter, the stricter rule applies. Breaking them is a breach of our Terms, handled as described in What we may do.
9.How we moderate
Content is checked in two ways:
- The model providers’ safety systems. Each generation step runs on a third-party AI model. Its provider applies its own automated safety systems and may refuse a request. When an image model refuses a request, it returns an error. If a model returns an error, the credits for that action come back automatically. If a run fails in another way and your credits did not come back, contact us at support@redpixel.club and we restore them.
- People on our team. We review every report we receive and act on content that breaks these rules. RED PIXEL does not currently run its own automated check on prompts or images, and we don’t routinely monitor projects. We look at specific content when someone reports it, when you ask us for help with it, or when we need to investigate suspected abuse or answer a lawful request from an authority.
Decisions to remove content, suspend generation or close an account are made by a person, not by an automated system alone.
10.What we may do
When content or behavior breaks these rules, we respond in proportion to how serious it is, whether it was deliberate and whether it has happened before. We may:
- warn you;
- remove the content or disable access to it;
- suspend generation and uploads on your account, for a set period or until the issue is resolved;
- close your account.
We can go straight to a later step when a breach is serious. Content that sexualizes minors always leads to closing the account. We report it, and any content that suggests a threat to someone’s life or safety, to the competent authorities.
We apply these rules carefully, objectively and in proportion, with due regard for the rights of everyone involved, including freedom of expression.
Statement of reasons. When we remove your content or restrict your account, we tell you by email, unless the law prevents us. The message says:
- what we did, to which content, and for how long;
- the facts behind the decision and the rule or law it is based on;
- whether it followed a report, and whether automated tools were involved;
- how you can contest it.
What happens to paid credits when an account is suspended or closed is set out in our Terms of Service.
11.Contesting a decision
If you think we got it wrong, whether a blocked request, removed content or a restricted account, reply to our notice or email support@redpixel.club. Tell us which decision you mean and why you think it is wrong. A person reviews it, looks at the facts again and tells you the result. If the decision was wrong, we reverse it without delay.
Contesting a decision with us is free and does not stop you from going to court. If you are a consumer, you may also be able to use consumer arbitration, for example CNIACC — Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo, or another approved body listed at www.consumidor.gov.pt. Our legal notice has the details.
12.Reporting content
If you find content in RED PIXEL that you believe is illegal or breaks these rules, including your own work, brand or face used without permission, tell us through the report page. It explains what to include:
- why the content is illegal or breaks these rules;
- exactly where it is: the image’s web address or the project link;
- your name and email (optional for reports of child sexual abuse material);
- a statement that you believe in good faith that your report is accurate and complete.
We confirm that we received your report, tell you what we decided and say whether automated tools were used. You don’t need a RED PIXEL account to report.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
13.Changes to these rules
We may update these rules, for example when the law changes, when we add models or features, or to deal with new kinds of misuse. The date at the top of this page shows the last change. When we make a significant change, we tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. Changes needed to comply with the law or to stop new kinds of abuse can take effect sooner, and we still tell you.
